Our MissionAt Somerville Junior Football Club, we’re dedicated to supporting and developing every player from their first game to the end of their junior journey, creating a fun, safe, and inspiring environment where kids can grow their skills and love for football.

Our HistoryFounded in 1973, the Somerville Junior Football Club celebrated immediate success by winning its first premiership in the inaugural season. From those early days, the club has grown both on and off the field, nurturing a strong culture where young footballers can learn, develop, and enjoy the game.
Today, Somerville JFC is proud to be one of the largest junior football clubs in the MPJFL, fielding over 16 mixed teams. We are also passionate about growing opportunities for girls, with plans to expand to five dedicated girls’ teams this season. At Somerville, it’s not just about football – it’s about building friendships, teamwork, and a sense of community. With the support of our players, families, coaches, and volunteers, we continue to create a welcoming and inspiring environment for every junior footballer. |
