Welcome to the Home of Somerville Junior Football Club
The Somerville Junior Football Club provides a family-friendly, safe and welcoming environment where young players can learn, develop and enjoy playing junior Australian Rules football.
Our focus is on creating a fun and supportive atmosphere where players of all abilities can build skills, make friendships and grow their love for the game while being part of a strong community club.
The Somerville Junior Football Club plays in both the Mornington Peninsula Junior Football League and the AFL South East Leagues. We have both Mixed, Boys and Girls teams from Under 8's and above.
Our junior football program provides opportunities for players of all ages to develop their skills, build confidence and enjoy the game in a supportive club environment. Our Under 8 to Under 12 teams compete in the Mornington Peninsula Junior Football League, where the focus is on learning the game, developing skills and having fun. From Under 13 onwards, our teams compete in the AFL South East competition, playing alongside clubs from the Frankston & District Junior Football League and South East Juniors. This structure provides a strong pathway for players as they progress through the junior grades.
We are also proud to offer dedicated girls teams at Under 12, Under 14 and Under 16 level. These teams are run in partnership with the Tyabb Junior Football Netball Club under the Westernport Pumas banner, helping to grow and support girls football across the Western Port region.
Games are played on Sundays at grounds across the Mornington Peninsula, ranging from Mordialloc in the north to Sorrento in the south.
The 2026 season will run from April through to August, with scheduled breaks throughout the season for school holidays and public holidays.
